LA Nightlife Is Seven Cities in One

There's no single LA night. Hollywood and West Hollywood have the club corridor — Avalon, The Abbey (WeHo's LGBTQ+ institution), The Nice Guy. Downtown LA (Arts District, Historic Core) has the cocktail bars — Seven Grand, The Varnish. Silver Lake and Echo Park run the eastside indie energy.

For live music: The Troubadour in WeHo, The Echo and Echoplex in Echo Park, The Wiltern for larger touring. For DJ culture: Sound Nightclub in Hollywood is the techno room; Academy LA books international EDM.

California 2 AM last call is hard. LA's driving geography means picking one district for a night, not trying to cross town at 1 AM.
